São Vicente: Women in Tech pledges to continue ‘Konektadas’ to train women from the informal sector

Mindelo, Feb 04 (Inforpress) – The non-governmental organisation Women in Tech has already scheduled further stages of the “Konektadas” event in São Vicente, aimed at training and promoting the digital inclusion of women from the informal sector.

The Women in Tech ambassador in Cabo Verde, Mayra Silva, spoke to the press during the Konektadas event in Mindelo, which brought together a packed audience of fishmongers, market vendors and other women linked to the informal sector.

According to the same source, this was the first opportunity for these women to interact with various public and private entities to receive information on digital initiatives.

“To bring the digital world closer to women, with a view to building a more inclusive society and a world where women have the same opportunities as other genders,” Mayra Silva stated.
