São Vicente: EU Católica holds VII Theological Week of the Diocese of Mindelo

Mindelo, Apr 28 (Inforpress) - The Catholic University School of Cabo Verde (EU Católica) holds the VII Theological Week of the Diocese of Mindelo on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, in the Onésimo Silveira Auditorium, at the University of Mindelo.

The information was given to the press by the regional director of the Catholic EU, Father José Mário Moreira, who explained that this year the objective of the theological week is to reflect on the motto “Christian hope in the various areopagus of Humanity - What hope for a world of rupture”.

According to the same source, the choice of topic is linked to the fact that Pope Francis chose the theme of hope for the Jubilee of this year 2025 and also because the bishop of Mindelo, Ildo Fortes, chose precisely the same topic for the Pastoral Year 2024-2025.

According to José Mário Moreira, they also intend to talk about rupture, taking into account the global context in which we live, the result of wars, relations between nations, but also of rupture with human values themselves and with societies that currently live much more attached to pleasure, to the most superficial things, and less open to a culture centered on faith.
