São Vicente: Cinema Play festival film festival in Mindelo to create a taste for the performing arts among young people

Mindelo, Apr 16 (Inforpress) – The city of Mindelo will host the first edition of the Play festival in Cabo Verde from April 24 to 26, which aims to create interest among young people in the performing arts and stimulate national production.

These are the reasons for holding, in São Vicente, for the first time, the International Children's and Youth Film Festival, which has been taking place for 11 years in Lisbon, Portugal, as the event's director, Catarina Ramalho, explained to Inforpress.

An event organized in Mindelo, in collaboration with the Mindelo Cultural Center (CCM) and Éden Produções.

“We felt that an event was needed for so many children and young people on the island,” explained Catarina Ramalho, who highlights the idea of, in this way, planting the seeds for other activities of this type.
