Mindelo, Nov 8 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Independent and Democratic Union (UCID, opposition party) has called on the government to draw attention to those responsible for the CV Interilhas by canceling the San Gwann voyage, which passengers have been waiting for four days.
António Monteiro, who was in Porto Grande pier early this afternoon, said he was contacted by passengers who informed him of this situation that remains since Monday, when the CV Interilhas ship was due to São Nicolau, Sal, Boa Vista and Santiago, but that did not happen, since the trip was anticipated for Sunday, according to the passengers, “without being notified”.
But two dates were set, Wednesday, which didn’t happen either, and now, today, when passengers were informed that there would be no trip when they were already on board the ship.
António Monteiro said that the boat may have a malfunction because he could see “cables, tubes and hydraulic jacks” that show “something unusual”.
