Mindelo, Dec 4 (Inforpress) – The Alcohol and Drugs Coordination Commission on Wednesday promotes the “socialization” of the new alcohol law with students from the island of São Vicente, in order to debate and clarify aspects of the legislation.
According to information provided by the commission, the action will focus on students from the Mindelo Center of the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) and the Higher Institute of Economic and Business Sciences (ISCEE).
Thus, it is intended to make known more about this law, which establishes the regime of availability, sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in public places, places open to the public and workplaces of the services and bodies of central and local public administration and private entities.
“The purpose of this event is to socialize the alcohol law among students and the educational community in order to debate and clarify aspects of the law and, at the same time, to make them aware of the need for joint action in this area” said the organization, which thus hopes to “contribute to the implementation and enforcement of the law”. The debate on this new alcohol law, which took effect on October 5 this year, takes place at Uni-CV at 09:00am and at ISCCE at 3:00 pm.
