Mindelo, Oct 31 (Inforpress) – The second edition of the Ocean Week (Cabo Verde Ocean Week), which will take place from November 25 to 29 in Mindelo, will be attended by more than 40 international participants, this Wednesday assured the organization.
According to the chairman of the organizing committee of the event, Eneida Gomes, it is estimated the participation of 47 international personalities, being already confirmed 38, who will be involved in the seven scheduled panels, two conferences and conversations about the sea, wich take place in Laginha beach.
“We are going to try to raise Cabo Verde’s ocean concerns to the maximum and we want to reach every corner. We want to give voice to our policies and gather experiences from our guests in order to have better know-how,” explained the official, who was speaking on Wednesday afternoon at the official presentation of the second edition of CV Ocean Week.
The guests, according to the organization, come from eight countries and for now are confirmed “internationally prominent figures” on the blue economy, including UN Special Envoy Peter Thomson, the Global Director of Ocean Management, Maria Damanaki, and the Angolan ambassador to Italy, Fatima Jardim.
