São Nicolau already has Digital Terrestrial Television – Cabo Verde Broacast

São Nicolau Tarrafal, Oct 31 (Inforpress) – From today, São Nicolau Island will be covered by Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), said Cabo Verde Broacast (CVB), the company responsible for the implementation and management of all DTT infrastructure in Cabo Verde.

As the company said on its page on the social network Facebook, the island of São Nicolau now has “seven TV channels with better picture and sound quality, open signal and all content covered there, which gives you access to more information and entertainment.”

In July this year, the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abrãao Vicente, was on a two-day visit to the island of São Nicolau, to see “on-site” the progress of the construction works of the nine issuing centers (sites) and the confirmation of the mounting of transmission equipment in order to start broadcasting digital television throughout the island.

At the time, Abrãao Vicente announced that the inauguration of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) project was scheduled for October and “ready to receive DTT broadcasts” and the arrival of a “new era of television” in São Nicolau.
