Santo Antão: Rehabilitation works on the access road to Martiene resumed for the relief of the population

Porto Novo, Jan 27 (Inforpress) – The rehabilitation works on the access road to Martiene, in Porto Novo, in Santo Antão, which have been interrupted in recent times, have already been resumed for the relief of the residents of that agricultural area.

The rehabilitation of these two-kilometer road began nearly two months ago, but lately, the situation has been worrying the residents of Martiene, who have insistently been demanding interventions on this road, has been stopped.

The project, estimated at 90 million escudos and with an execution period of eight months, is part of a package of roads to open localities with agricultural, tourist and fishing potential in Santo Antão, launched by the Government in July 2019, which exceed the 600 million escudos.

Within this package is also the construction of the Ribeira da Cruz / Chã de Branquinho road, with an extension of five kilometers, financed in 140 million escudos, which should start in February.
