Santo Antão hosts round table on “Networks and Alliances as an Instrument for Food Security and School Nutrition”

Porto Novo, Sep 30 (Inforpress) – “Networks and Alliances as an Instrument for Food Security and School Nutrition” is the theme of a round table that will be held from October 1st to 2nd, in the city of Porto Novo, Santo Antão.

The round table is part of the Resilient Agro-Ecological Practices and Participatory Marketing project as a tool for school nutrition and community food security for the rural populations of Santo Antão and Fogo, promoted by the Friends of Nature Association (AAN) and the Center for  International Rural and Agricultural Studies (Spain).

The event aims to take stock on the situation and evaluate the results of the activities carried out so far under the project and to socialize with the Cabo Verdean Foundation for Social and School Action (Ficase) the challenges, dynamics and perspectives of school feeding in Santo Antão and Fogo.

It is also intended to socialize the strategies, cycles and stages of the project for the supply of school canteens in Fogo and Santo Antão, throughout this school year, which began in September.
