Santo Antão: Health facilities with new diagnostic equipment later this year

Porto Novo, Nov 4 (Inforpress) – The João Morais regional hospital and the Porto Novo and Paul health centers in Santo Antão will have new diagnostic equipment later this year to “increase the capacity” of response.

These infrastructures will have, until December, all of their renewed equipment stock (x-ray, ultrasound and others), investments that are part of a national program of around 1 billion escudos, which aims to equip all health facilities in Cabo Verde with diagnostic equipment.

A note published by the Santo Antão Sanitary Region (RSSA) regarding the visit to Santo Antão this week by the Minister of Health, Arlindo do Rosário, indicates that the equipment will be there “in about a month” in Cabo Verde.

Referring to the Minister of Health, the note published by RSSA states that this equipment will be “distributed and installed” in the country’s health structures, in order to “increase the response capacity” of the National Health Service.
