Santo Antão: Government to support the revision of the Paul Municipal Development Plan and the drafting of detailed plans – minister

Paul, 28 August (Inforpress) – The Government will support  City Council of Paul in revising the Municipal Master Plan (PDM) and in drawing up detailed plans deemed a priority for the municipality, Minister Carlos Alberto Tavares announced on Thursday.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Spatial Planning made the announcement during a working visit to the municipality, during which he referred to spatial planning as one of the areas that should be given greater attention in the near future.

“This Government will support the City Council of Paul in reviewing its Municipal Master Plan, as well as in the preparation of a set of detailed plans that are priorities for the municipality,” he stated.

Carlos Alberto Tavares argued that local authorities should strengthen a culture of planning and land-use management, paying particular attention to the use of space and the development of urban planning tools capable of guiding the growth of local communities.
