Santa Catarina/Fogo: City Council awaits results of competition for construction/completion of houses in Bangaeira

São Filipe, May 21 (Inforpress) - The City Council of Santa Catarina do Fogo still has “no specific answers” on the tender announced by the Ministry of Infrastructure for the construction/completion of 36 houses in Bangaeira, Chã das Caldeiras.

At the end of February, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Land Planning and Housing, through Real Estate, Land and Habitat (IFH), launched four public tenders for the construction/completion of social housing in Bangaeira, Chã das Caldeira.

However, according to mayor Manuel Teixeira, the council is unaware of the result and the company or companies that have been selected.

“Despite the expectations generated by the minister's visit to the island, the process remains shrouded in silence and a lack of communication, ‘ said the mayor, who emphasised that since the visit and the technical survey carried out, ’there has been no feedback whatsoever from the ministry".
