Sal Island: Saleswomen complain of lack of conditions in the Municipal Market to keep fresh products

Espargos, Nov 14 (Inforpress) – The saleswomen in the Municipal Market, in Espargos, Sal complain about ventilation problems and the inability to keep the products fresh, although they admit that it is a “good space” for sale and display of their products.

The Municipal Market was an old requirement, and the City Council presented the saleswomen and the Espargos population, this year, with this infrastructure, on the occasion of the Municipality festivities, marked on September 15.

However, both vegetables and fresh products sellers, but especially fish sellers, say the heat inside is intense, causing the fish ice to melt in a “snap.”

“The preservation of fish through ice was only on the opening day. It was all very beautiful. We would like it to continue that way. But we can’t afford the ice. Arrested for having a dog and arrested for not having”, they said in a tone of regret.
