Espargos, July 15 (Inforpress) - The Cape Verdean Association of Air Traffic Controllers (ACCTA) today launched a workshop on the Labor Code and Collective Bargaining Agreement in Sal, aiming to equip professionals in the sector with tools to better interpret and apply labor legislation.
Speaking to the media, the president of ACCTA, Elisângelo Vicente, explained that the two-day training course addresses a “pressing need” within the profession to clarify doubts and harmonise interpretations of articles and clauses which often give rise to differing views between employees and employers.
‘The important thing is to promote a better understanding so that professionals can have a clearer understanding of how to act, exercising their rights whilst at the same time fulfilling their duties,’ the official pointed out.
According to Elisângelo Vicente, the main concerns of air traffic controllers relate to issues concerning rest periods, remuneration, and the call-up procedures issued by the company.
