Sal/2019: Nicholas Barros gives gold and silver to Cabo Verde in freestyle football 

Santa Maria, Sal, Jun 17 (Inforpress) – The athlete Nicholas Barros won the gold medal in freestyle soccer, routine discipline, and the silver medal in the same modality, but in the battle discipline.

With Santa Maria’s 3rd arena fully crowded, Nicholas Barros, also known as Miki, won the gold medal in the first round in which six competitors were in the running representing six countries, namely Cabo Verde, Algeria(2), Ghana, Libya, Morocco(2) and Zambia.

Juggling the freestyle ball, the Cabo Verdean athlete shared the podium with the Algerian Nouredinne Saidi (silver) and the Moroccan Djedji Othamane in the individual competition routines.

In the individual competition battle, Miki started by eliminating Zambian Chila Cecil, to reach the quarter-finals, left by the way Asare Joel, victory that dictated his qualification for the final, having won the silver medal in a close race, which dictated the gold for the Moroccan Djedji Othamane.
