Ruler acknowledges that unemployment in the country is a “challenge to be resolved”

Praia, Apr 3 (Inforpress) – The Secretary of State for the Innovation and Vocational Training said on Tuesday that the unemployment in Cabo Verde is a “challenge to be resolved”, recognizing that at this moment “the data is high”.

“I have some allergies in referring to these numbers, when one Cabo Verdean, a young who wants to work and is at home without being able to develop its professional activity”, said Carlos Lopes.

The official made these considerations at the end of the “Open Talk” 10% Entrepreneur – How to Live Your Dream to Create a start-up without leaving your job,” session promoted by the United States of America Embassy, in the City of Praia, and the Institute for Support and Promotion Entrepreneurship (Pro-Enterprise), with Patrick McGinnis.

Pedro Lopes, who challenged the young Cabo Verdeans to be “Entrepreneurs”, revealed that there are currently 318.300 active users of the Internet which is equivalent to 57% of the population, with most of them “users of mobile”, meaning they do not need a computer.
