Praia, Jul 29 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean team coach Rui Águas said the home side had a good performance against Mauritania in their home draw and praised the fact that they did not concede a goal, at the National Stadium.
“I think we were better than Mauritania. The squad behaved very well, beat well. There was a good atmosphere at the stadium which was also important. It was a draw but could have won and is open for the second round,” Rui Águas explained in his game reading to Inforpress.
Spectator attentive of this match regarding the first round of the inaugural round for CAN 2020, Rui Águas, who accompanied the preparation of the resident game, said that it would be important for Cabo Verde to win, because it provided greater comfort, but now it will have to work, to schedule on their trip to Mauritania.
He underlined that Cabo Verde could have an advantage in Nouakchott, as any slip from the host team at home could be fatal, recalling that this resident Creole team had little time working together, which in their international experience makes it difficult to do better.
