Assomada, Aug 5 (Inforpress) – Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva said that the reopening of the North Santiago Customs Delegation in Assomada will resolve the proximity customs clearance, noting that it is an important advance that benefits emigrants directly”.
The head of government made these remarks to the press, after presiding over the opening ceremony of the Customs Delegation in Assomada, countryside of Santiago, and the opening of the 10th edition of the traditional meeting with emigrants from Santa Catarina, this Saturday at the Amílcar Cabral High School.
“This delegation will provide proximity services to benefit traders from all areas of the northern region, as well as our emigrants,” he said.
Ulisses Correia e Silva recalled that a measure to speed up customs clearance of small orders has been associated, underlining that ‘they will be quick and immediate, with a single fee’, thus facilitating current procedures. The other measure, he pointed out, is the tax exemption currently paid when goods move from one island to another.
