Praia, Jun 11 (Inforpress) – The Network of Journalists for the Environment (REJA) will bet on training its members to feel more comfortable in addressing environmental issues, said on Monday in Praia the President of the organization, Joana Lopes.
Joana Lopes was speaking to the press, moments before the opening ceremony of the Seminar on Environmental Journalism, held in the Cabo Verdean capital, organized by REJA with the support of the Association for the Defense of Environment and Development (ADAD) and the Regional Partnership for Marine Conservation in West Africa (PRMC).
“This seminar follows a workshop in which REJA participated in Senegal, where we have been talking about journalism and environment. When we left, we left with the commitment to return the workshop to national level, it is precisely because of this that we are here”, began by explaining the president of REJA.
Participants in the event are journalists from different parts of the country, from São Vicente, Sal, Boa Vista, Fogo, Brava and also from Santiago island, according to the person responsible, to share some knowledge on ways to better cover environmental issues.
