Praia, Nov 22 (Inforpress) – The Rector of University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), Judite Nascimento, highlighted that Nursing as one of the institution’s “most consolidated” courses, welcoming the “good results” which has presented over ten years.
Judite Nascimento made this speech to Inforpress, on the fringes of the 1st International Congress of Nursing in Cabo Verde under the theme “10 Years of Higher Education: Construction, Path and Perspective”, which takes place until Friday, 22, in the Auditorium of the Palmarejo Campus.
As I said, this course made a “very big” contribution to the country, increasing the number of people trained in this area, but also with the philosophy that the nursing group and the Coimbra Nursing School attributed to this project.
In her opinion, the course is one of the “most consolidated”, having a “very organized” group, which works in the sector and annually opens places for classes with more than 30 students. On the other hand, she argued that for nurses to provide good responses in more demanding work situations the “quality of education is undoubtedly necessary”, and the importance of this point of view is that it is possible to train nurses in Cabo Verde without having to leave the country to achieve the course certificate.
