Public Relations Association: New board commits to promoting and regulating the profession

Praia, 6 August (Inforpress) – The chair of the board of directors of the Cabo Verde Public Relations Association (ARP-CV), Yara Cardoso, said today that her new term of office will be guided by a sense of responsibility, the promotion of the profession and the strengthening of strategic communication in the country.

During the inauguration ceremony of the association's newly elected governing bodies, Yara Cardoso said the occasion represented "more than a choice"—it embodied a responsibility assumed before the association's members and society to strengthen the commitment to advancing the profession.

The same source considered that public relations now hold “strategic importance” within organisations, and are no longer associated solely with the dissemination of information.

“Communication is no longer just about conveying information; it is about fostering understanding, building trust, bringing people together, strengthening relationships and inspiring credibility,” she said.
