Praia, Aug 23 (Inforpress) – IEFP’s president said that the lack of human resources limits “strong supervision” to professional internships, in order to make companies do their part in paying interns.
Paulo Santos was speaking to the press, this Thursday, in Praia, on the sidelines of the 25th anniversary commemorating event of the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), which took place under the theme “IEFP-25 years promoting vocational training and employability of people”.
Faced with the fact that some companies have been failing to pay the interns, Paulo Santos replied that the lack of human resources limits IEFP to “strong enforcement”.
“But we have a contract. The contract is signed tripartite. The company makes the commitment. IEFP pays a portion. Companies must pay the other part, ”said the manager.
