Praia, May 3 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, starts a four-day visit to Germany today as part of the new strategy for closer relations and new agenda for bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to the Presidency of the Republic, this visit to Germany means strengthening the political dialogue at the highest level, particularly at the federal level, and strengthening cooperation with the Federated States of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein in various fields.
“This will also be an opportunity to raise economic and business relations between Cabo Verde and Germany to a higher level”, reads a press release to Inforpress.
This Friday, on the first day, Jorge Carlos Fonseca and the delegation will visit the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, located in northern Germany, where they will be welcomed by the president of the Senate and burgomaster of the city, Peter Tschentscher, with whom the head of State will have a working meeting, before a guided visit to the International Maritime Museum.
