Praia, Apr 30 (Inforpress) – “Praia é di nhos tudo” (Praia belongs to all of us), is the theme of a representative fair of the islands and immigrant communities, which is taking place this Monday at Platô, under the 161-year-old of Praia’s update to the category of City.
Speaking to the press, Praia’s director of Culture, Ivan Santos, said that the event is promoted by the City Hall of Praia in the framework of the 161st anniversary of the capital of the country, and aims to show some of the cultural, recreational and gastronomic aspects of Cabo Verde and the immigrated community resident in the municipality.
“Praia é di nhos tudo”, the name says it all. Praia, because it is the capital of the country, welcomes people from all the islands, but also a large part of the immigrant community from the Africa Coast, Europe and the Americas, we wanted to also celebrate with them since they chose this city to live”, he explained.
According to the director said, to mark the date, the City Hall promoted a series of activities from lectures, exhibitions, inaugurations of infrastructures, which began on the 25th of this month and culminate today with a great musical show with artists from the islands and other musicians like Kino Cabral, Fidjus di Codê di Dona and much more.
