PR expresses himself “disquieting” due the lack of answers on the disappearance of children in the Country

Praia, Jun 17 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, expressed his disquiet on Sunday about the lack of answers from the authorities on the disappearance of children in Cabo Verde.

The Head of State made this point in his message to the African Children’s Day, which is celebrated this Sunday, June 16, under the theme “Humanitarian Action in Africa: Children’s Rights First”.

For Jorge Carlos Fonseca, children continue to be the greatest hope for the construction of an increasingly prosperous, peaceful and inclusive country, hence the need for greater commitment and priority on the part of families, communities, civil society organizations and the State to work together to ensure the protection, integral development and well-being are fully realized.

“I can not refrain from referring to the recent cases of disappearance of children, where up to now there are no responses from the authorities, which is disturbing”, said the President of the Republic who stated that although there are no emergency humanitarian  siatuation there are still many problems and challenges that deserve special attention from the authorities, the various socio-community actors and families.
