Praia, Jul 22 (Inforpress) – The Popular Party (PP) accused the City Hall of Praia on Sunday of “mismanagement of municipal land”, pointing to the sale of seashores and public squares among the “main businesses”.
This consideration was made by the general secretary of the PP, Juvenal Furtado, after the usual biweekly meeting that the party carries out. As he explained, the management of the land in the capital is an “authentic negotiation,” denouncing that the City Hall has already made an agreement with a Portuguese company, for the sale of 25.000-square-meter of land in the vicinity of the Fonton.
“This company will do the urbanization of that area, then sell the area and the result of the sale is shared between that company and the CMP,” he assured. According to him, the mayor Oscar Santos had promised four thousand lots per year to young people, but this announcement was only in the promise.
Another criticism was centered on the management of the squares, on which the party mentioned that there is a lack of sensibility by the City Hall, which has privatized them, leaving the citizens without places of leisure.
