Porto Novo: Mayor has “high expectations” for the outcome of the minister’s visit to the municipality

Porto Novo, 27 Aug (Inforpress) –The Mayor of Porto Novo, Elisa Pinheiro, today expressed “high expectations” regarding the outcomes of the visit by the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Spatial Planning to the municipality, which provided an opportunity to discuss projects in the pipeline.

Elisa Pinheiro declared to the press that the visit allowed her to discuss how to move forward with structuring projects for the city of Porto Novo, such as the case of the requalification and asphaltage of Avenida Amílcar Cabral, the main artery of this city.

According to the mayor, this is a project considered a priority for the local authority, which needs to “press ahead urgently to breathe new life” into Porto Novo town centre, by creating a range of services aimed at residents and visitors.

Elisa Pinheiro, therefore expressed her satisfaction at having been able to discuss this and other projects with the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Spatial Planning during his visit to Porto Novo.
