Porto Novo, Mar 9 (Inforpress) – The city of Porto Novo, in Santo Antão, hosts, between the 16th and 21st of this month, the poetic and urban artistic action festival, an event promoted by the Portuguese SYnergia association.
The festival, called “Carmen in Urbe CV”, according to the organization, consists of a project that intends to “spread verses” throughout the city of Porto Novo, within the scope of World Poetry Day, which is celebrated on the March 21, through “ an intervention focused on poetic action and urban art”.
A note from the organization, to which Inforpress had access, explains that the aim of the festival “is to motivate greater artistic and cultural awareness and increase the social participation of citizens”.
The program includes a poetry contest, whose winners will have the opportunity to see the poem itself (in Portuguese or in Creole) written by an urban art artist on a city wall, on the occasion of World Poetry Day.
