
Praia, Feb 04 (Inforpress) – The Donana Foundation today held a “Peace Walk” with students from Escola 13 de Janeiro and ESAD, with the aim of promoting values of citizenship, dialogue and non-violence in the school environment.
The Peace Walk involving students from Escola 13 de Janeiro and Abílio Duarte Secondary School (ESAD) took place as part of the Day of Non-Violence in Schools and Education for Peace, marked on January 30, with the objective of fostering values of citizenship, dialogue and non-violence.
The initiative falls under the “Network of Partner Schools of the Donana Foundation for Citizenship Education” project, created in 2012, and included the Education for Peace module, one of the eight modules of the Citizenship Education course developed by the foundation.
According to the president of the Donana Foundation, Ana Maria Almada, the main objective is to “cultivate peace” through continuous actions in the school environment.
