Praia, June 26 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde's participation in the World Cup has generated unprecedented global media exposure for the country, opening doors to business opportunities valued at thousands of dollars, said the president of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce today.
Marcos Rodrigues made this statement to the press on the sidelines of the 1st Brazil-Cabo Verde Forum, themed "Connecting Opportunities, Business and Development," where he stated that the country now faces the urgent challenge of structuring its marketing and economic diplomacy strategy to capitalize on this impact.
The warning and analysis were shared during the business event held in Praia, at which Cape Verdean and Brazilian representatives exchanged views on the nation’s international standing and the recent trade links established between the two sides of the Atlantic.
“The level of coverage in newspapers, on social media and on global television channels has reached levels that would be impossible to achieve through traditional advertising campaigns. Every day, millions of people are seeking to find out where Cabo Verde is located, about its culture and the identity of its people,” emphasised Marcos Rodrigues.
