Paralympic: Marilson Semedo, figure of the 9th National Championship, bet on qualifying for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo

Praia, Dec 3 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean international Paralympic Marilson Semedo, reference resident athlete of adapted sports, was figure in 9th National Paralympic Championship (CANADEP 2019) winning four national titles and points out as “great challenge” qualifying for 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

With presence in several international stages, Marilson Semedo, an amputee athlete of a lower limb, revalidated the national title in the weightlifting, category 90 kg (weightlifting when lifting 130 kg) weight throw (F-47) volleyball and basketball in wheelchair representing South Santiago.

The athlete expressed himself to Inforpress very “euphoric” for his achievements, claiming to be rewarded for “hard individual work, effort, dedication”, especially in the gymnasiums in São Domingos, where he lives, and in free practice at the National Stadium.

After praising the quality of the organization at this event, which was attended by approximately 100 practitioners from different parts of the country (except São Nicolau and Brava), Semedo, an athlete who has reinforced his curriculum by winning titles in international events, said he is focused on reaching the minimums to reach 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
