PAICV's CNJF admits the four candidates for party leadership

Praia, Mar 24 (Inforpress) - The PAICV's National Commission for Jurisdiction and Supervision (CNJF) approved the four candidacies for the party's leadership on Sunday night (23).

The election of the new president of the African Party for the Independence of Cabo Verde (PAICV) will take place on 30 March and, on that date, the delegates to the party congress scheduled to take place from 2 to 4 May will also be elected.

In a statement to Inforpress, the president of the PAICV CNJF, Clóvis Silva, admits the possibility of a second round between the two candidates who received the most votes in the first round of voting.

According to Clóvis Silva, a second round of voting could take place if neither candidate achieves an absolute majority.
