Praia, Jun 10 (Inforpress) – The 9th edition of the Portuguese Language Writers Meeting, scheduled to 20 to 22 this month, in the City of Praia, honors the Cabo Verdean writer and the winner of Camões 2018 Prize, Germano Almeida.
Organized by the Union of Capital Cities of Portuguese Language (UCCLA) and City Hall of Praia, this event around the Portuguese language, which contributes to the dialogue and the rapprochement between the writers from the different continents, has as its main theme “juvenile literature”.
According to information published by UCCLA, in addition to the main theme, the subtopics will be discussed in three panels: “Introduce images and sounds in words, introducing words in pictures”, “Children’s literature, place of affection and emotion” and ” Write the world, write to yourself”.
The opening session, which will take place at 5 de Julho Square, will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Cabo Verde, Ulisses Correia e Silva, and will be attended by the mayor of Praia, Óscar Santos, the secretary general of the UCCLA, Victor Ramalho, and the president of the Mobility and Parking Company of Praia (EMEP), Victor Coutinho.
