Praia, Jun 10 (Inforpress) – The National Archives of Cabo Verde (ANCV) is working on the implementation of a National Archives Network, the creation of the National Archives Commission and its strategic plan, said this Sunday to Inforpress, the Registrar José Maria Borges.
Speaking to Inforpress, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Archives Day, marked on June 9, under the theme “Projecting archives in the 21st century”, the official said that the ANCV has been carrying out a number of works with a view to designing institution in society.
José Maria Borges, who has been in charge of this institution for almost three months, assured that he will continue the work begun by the former Registrar Martinho Brito, namely the project to rescue the documentary collection of the history of Cabo Verde deposited in the Archive of Ultramarine in Portugal, the Family Search project, and the creation of conditions for the implementation of the National Archives Network.
But before that, he said, the first priority is the internal organization, which is to create the right conditions for the employees of this institution, introducing a new Career, Salaries and Wages Plan (PCCS), which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
