Music: Roy Job releases single warning against domestic violence

Praia, Dec 17 (Inforpress) – Cape Verdean musician Roy Job, based in the United States, will soon release on digital platforms the new single “Mulher é Mãe” (“Woman Is Mother”), a work dedicated to combating domestic violence and the silent suffering of women, the artist announced today.

In a statement, the musician explained that the new composition aims to raise awareness in society about the need for greater respect, protection and dignity for women, addressing the “harsh reality” of abuse.

“This song is dedicated to women who suffer, to mothers who protect their children while carrying their own pain, and to a society that can no longer remain silent,” Roy Job said, as quoted in the note.

The song features a sound described as “dark and dramatic”, with direct and moving lyrics that expose the fear and resilience of the victims.
