MpD says tender for 309 “Casa para Todos” apartments allows for greater transparency

Praia, Dec 4 (Inforpress) – The municipal workbench of MpD, in the municipality of Praia, considered that the tender for the allocation of the “Casa para Todos” program allows “greater transparency” in the selection of beneficiaries, based on the criteria previously defined.

The leader of the Movement for Democracy municipal workbench, Filomena Delgado, was speaking Tuesday at a press conference to respond to statements made by the African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV, opposition party) on the management of the tender for the 309 apartments of the “Casa para Todos” Program in Praia.

According to her, the City Hall did not inherit the “Casa para Todos” Program apartments five years ago, but in December 2018, when it signed a memorandum of understanding with the State of Cabo Verde for the transfer of the Class A Houses to the municipality.

“The houses will be assigned to people who actually need them, avoiding being assigned to people who then rent them out,” she said, adding that “none” of the competitors will deliver 20 documents, “nor will they be charge with 15.000 escudos”.
