Praia, Jun 3 (Inforpress) – MP Filomena Gonçalves was elected Friday in Abuja, Nigeria, as the president of the ECOWAS Parliament Network to Combat Clandestine Immigration.
The information was made available at the social network of the Cabo Verde MPs in ECOWAS community, who said that the creation of this network is a response of the ECOWAS Parliament to the problem of clandestine Immigration that has been affecting the community for several years.
“For about nine months, ECOWAS has been testing the creation of this network, which was formalized last Friday in Abuja, Nigeria, where the ECOWAS Parliament headquarters is located”, refers the note on the social network of the Cabo Verde MPs in ECOWAS community.
The main goal of the network is to minimize clandestine immigration, especially to European territories.
