Ministry of Justice finances community bakery in Achadas de São Filipe with 1,500 contos

Praia City, 13 Mar (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Justice and the Parish of São Filipe Apóstolo, in Achadas de São Filipe, signed this Thursday a financial support protocol worth 1,500 contos intended for the implementation of a community bakery.

After the signing, the Minister of Justice, Joana Rosa, stressed that it is the State’s obligation to collaborate with the social actions of the Church, underlining that the Government has supported community projects developed by religious institutions for the benefit of the population.

According to Joana Rosa, the Catholic Church plays an important social role within communities, which is why the State should collaborate in initiatives that contribute to improving the living conditions of parishioners.

According to the minister, the Government has sought to support projects with a direct impact on society and that promote the development of local communities.
