Minister says social inclusion project will strengthen families ability to care their members

Praia, Jun 7 (Inforpress) – Maritza Rosabal, the minister of the Family and Social Inclusion, said on Thursday that the social inclusion project will allow Cabo Verdean families to strengthen their capacities to care their family members independently of the structure they have.

The findings were made during the public presentation ceremony of the social inclusion project – horizon 2019/2022, financed by the World Bank at 10 million dollars (about  1 million escudos), highlighting the importance of this project since it has components that put Cabo Verdean families in the spotlight.

According to the official, the goal is for Cabo Verdean families to have a minimum of conditions to live with dignity and to allow them to take advantage of the country’s development opportunities.

“The project will strengthen the capacity of families to care their members, that is, to strengthen the true role of the family, regardless of the form or structure, institutional reinforcement supporting the Government in the policy of municipalization and centralization”, said Maritza Rosabal, noting that in addition to direct transfer of monetary income, the project will also promote the productive inclusion of these families.
