May: Porto Inglês Veterans Association promotes walk for gender equality

Porto Inglês, 14 Mar (Inforpress) – The Porto Inglês Veterans Association is promoting a walk for gender equality this Saturday, along the Porto Inglês – Morro – Porto Inglês route, with the aim of raising awareness in the community about the importance of equality between men and women.

The initiative, which also aims to encourage the practice of physical activities and promote social well-being, will be followed by an aerobics session and a lecture given by psychologist Cíntia Freire, who will address issues related to gender equality and female empowerment.

According to the organization, this activity aims to involve the local population, raise awareness of the need to combat discrimination and foster an environment of respect and social justice on the island of Maio.
