Porto Inglês, 13 October (Inforpress) – In contrast to the trend of young people leaving the island of Maio, Dycha Reis, 32, says she does not regret returning to her homeland to invest and contribute to the island's economy and development.

The young man left Maio in 2018 to work on the island of Sal, but he always carried his homeland in his heart and, at the first opportunity to invest, he returned to set up a business in the livestock sector.

In 2022, he founded ‘Dos Reis e Família’, a livestock breeding and cheese production unit located in Cascabulho, which has won over the palates of both locals and visitors alike.

‘I always thought that if I found an opportunity to make money, it would have to be on the island of Maio. I planned my return and, at the first opportunity, I started investing,’ she told Inforpress.
