Praia, June 10 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, considered that the First Madeira / Cabo Verde Atlantic Cultural Summit recognized the similarities and common challenges of the two territories and allowed the strengthening of relations through history, language and culture.
The head of the Cabo Verdean executive made these considerations in his official Facebook page, at the end of the Madeira-Cabo Verde Atlantic Cultural Summit, which took place Friday, in the municipality of Machico, in the Madeira archipelago, Portugal.
According to reports, they concluded the Summit with the commitment to institutionalize it and with the announcement that the second edition will take place in Cabo Verde.
“This summit recognized the similarities and common challenges of both territories and proved the culture and creative industries as a key sector for creating decent jobs, income and sustainable careers”, said Ulisses Correia e Silva.
