Luxembourg cooperation will finance National Assembly photovoltaic solar energy project

Praia, Feb 18 (Inforpress) – The Luxembourg Cooperation will finance the “Solar Photovoltaic Energy Production System” project of the National Assembly, which will contribute to a reduction of about 30% of the institution’s electricity bill.

The presentation of the project, Budgeted at 150 thousand euros, took place this afternoon and was chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities, Luís Filipe Tavares, President of the National Assembly, Jorge Santos, and by the Minister of Cooperation and Humanitarian Action of that European country, Frantz Fayot, who is visiting Cabo Verde.

On the occasion, Jorge Santos stressed the importance of the project 100% financed by the Luxembourg Government, which in the opinion of the head of the parliamentary house, will resolve and reduce the energy bill of the National Assembly in the short and medium term.

“Today, we are here to launch this micro generation and energy production project with access and use of the sun that abounds and we have every day here”, said the president, who assured that Luxembourg is one of Cabo Verde’s most important partners.
