Praia, Sep 10 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verdean singer Isa Pereira already has available on the market in Portugal her first literary work entitled “Quando o Rouxinol vence o Touro” which will also be available in Cabo Verde soon.
This book, according to the author, is a tribute to refugees from around the world, migrants and prisoners, especially women and children, who in situations of “extreme existential vulnerability” and in search of better living conditions “face dramatic obstacles, at high risk ”but always“ imbued with an instinct of immeasurable bravery and hope ”.
The nightingale, she explained, is a “female songbird, migrant, internationalist,” a plural woman who “breaks handcuffs, opens the doors of mental and spirit prisons,” who do not believe in boundaries but are mirrored in the power of art for building bridges between peoples, in “global responsibility, the immeasurable value of multiculturalism”.
“She is a woman who, in her eager desire to sing Cabo Verde and the world, battles with all the ardor the various facets of the bull. This, a muscular animal that in the book presents itself as the world itself and its complexity”, reads the note sent to Inforpress.
