Praia, July 4 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verde Cultural Center, in Lisbon (Portugal), will take a “walk” honoring the great names of Cabo Verdean culture, said Wednesday the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Abraão Vicente.
“Nothing is greater for an artist than recognition for his/her work coming from institutions of his/her native country. (…) To those are unavoidable for the Cabo Verdean nation and those in Portugal contributed to the affirmation of our diaspora,” the minister wrote on his social networking page.
In this first phase, he said, they will start with 51 names and, being an initiative under construction, he assured that more personalities will be honored and “soon” will arrive in Cabo Verde.
Bana, Zeca Nha Reinalda, António Firmino, B.leza, Maria Alice, Finaçon Group, Ildo Lobo, Leonel Almeida, Travadinha, Tututa Évora, the Tubarões, Voz de Cabo Verde Group, Antonio Aurélio Gonçalves, Manuel Figueira, Morgadinho, Armando Tito are some of the names who have already been fixed on the CCCV tour.
