Justice system begins training for 60 candidates for court bailiff positions to strengthen the courts

Praia, July 15 (Inforpress) - The Cape Verdean justice system today began training at the Palmarejo Justice Campus in Praia for 60 candidates for the position of Court Officer, aiming to address the shortage of human resources in the courts.

In statements to the press on the sidelines of the course opening, the Vice-President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSMJ), Silvino Amador, explained that the initiative stems from a strategic partnership between the CSMJ and the Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies

(CEJJ).

The course will be delivered in person in the city of Praia, whilst also offering an online component in order to serve candidates living on the island of São Vicente and in other regions of the archipelago.

“Processors play an essential role in the administration of justice. They are professionals who ensure the execution of important procedural acts, contribute to the proper processing of cases, and serve as a fundamental link between the courts and citizens,” said Silvino Amador,

emphasizing that training in this career is essential for the technical, legal, ethical, and behavioral preparation of those who work in the courts.
