Praia, Jun 26 (Inforpress) – The president of the Youth for Democracy (JpD), Euclides Silva, said on Tuesday that the MpD’s youth organization has already formed a generation that has brought solutions to Cabo Verde by 25 years.
Euclides Silva was speaking in an interview with Inforpress about the 25th anniversary of the creation of the JpD, which will be celebrated on Friday with a gala dinner in the City of Praia, chaired by the leader of the Movement for Democracy (MpD) and Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva.
According to the president of the JpD, during these 25 years this organization has played an important role in Cabo Verde.
Proof of this, he argued, is that almost all the former leaders of the JpD today are prominent MpD figures and governance, cases of Olavo Correia, who is deputy prime minister and who was one of the founders and first vice president of the JpD, elected at the convection of 1996, in addition to the minister Fernando Elísio Freire, and the current secretary general of the party, Miguel Monteiro.
