Praia, Jun 10 (Inforpress) – The National Network of Journalists for the Environment (Reja) will hold a seminar on “Journalism and the Environment” in the City of Praia this Monday, informed Inforpress on Sunday the network presidente Joana Lopes.
Following a seminar on “Journalism and the Environment” which three journalists from the network participated last month in Senegal, promoted by the Regional Partnership for the Conservation of Coastal and Marine Areas of East Africa (PRCM), Reja made a commitment to reproduce this event in Cabo Verde.
During this seminar, the Reja’s members will learn on how to achieve a good coverage of environmental issues, the difficulties encountered by journalists in the field and those encountered in order to make environmental issues present in the information media.
There will also be panels by technicians from the Directorate-General for the Environment, on the issue of the sustainability of the areas, more specifically the marine protected areas in Cabo Verde, taking into account the constructions on the maritime borders of the country that is challenging the species.
