Praia, Mar 25 (Inforpress) – The president of the African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV-opposition party) defended, in Praia, that it is not the best time to privatize Cabo Verde Handling, as announced, this Monday 23th, by the Government.
For Janira Hopffer Almada, who was speaking to the press, after a meeting with the Direction of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS), this is not the time to do the privatization of companies, especially the airlines and related companies that go through “large difficulties” of operation.
“I call on the Government to immediately suspend the privatization process of Cabo Verde Handling, to be analyzed and discussed at another time, with serenity, responsibility and listening to society and guaranteeing the preservation of the nation’s superior interests,” she urged.
