Praia, Sep 10 (Inforpress) – The Cultural Heritage Institute (IPC) initialed this Monday a cooperation agreement with the Cabo Verdean Music Society (SOCA) aimed at the partnership between the two institutions to perform the “Young people sing Morna – 2019” voice contest.
In the outline of the agreement, SOCA President Daniel Spínola explained that the project was developed by the presiding organization, “promptly embraced” by the IPC, which will contribute a monetary fund to the contest winner, in addition to other points.
According to the official, the contest will be launched on December 3rd and will be publicly presented with a great activity, and later several elimination sessions of the participants.
Daniel Spínola also said that SOCA is still looking for new partnerships for the event, taking into account the “high cost” for its materialization, also considering it very important for Cabo Verde to promote this event, as the morna musical style “does not has been very sung by young people. ”
